Have you ever read a story in the Bible that bothered you so bad you wanted to scream at God? I sure have. At least before I realized what most Bible lessons were all about. I will never forget reading the story of Achan’s sin in the Old Testament that is presented soon after the Battle of Jericho. I was about fourteen years old and I wasn’t the same afterwards. Who was Lucifer?
Who was Lucifer? Many people think that Lucifer is the original name for Satan, or the devil, an evil being opposed to God. But this is just not true. In fact, Lucifer is not an external being, and the entire concept of Satan in the Western world is inaccurate. Lucifer, Satan, and the devil represent something much more important than an external celestial being that is the archenemy of God and mankind. This blog post will discuss what Lucifer and Satan really mean and how they relate to us. Since the Bible is a book that explains you, the holy temple, the esoteric truth about Lucifer can help you to realize more about your soul and purpose on this earth than any literal rendition of the scriptures about Satan ever could. Who or What is the Antichrist, Really?
Today I want to speak on the antichrist. This is one of the most misunderstood concepts of the Bible, not only in the fundamentalist’s camp, but also in the mainstream Christian mindset. And to be blunt, this misunderstanding has robbed true spiritual maturity and power from the Christian for hundreds of years.
It is quite comical to me that so many people still believe the antichrist is a literal individual who is yet to be revealed. I have seen entire websites dedicated to revealing that one individual has to be the antichrist. This is utter nonsense; it is the kind of teaching which makes a mockery of the Bible. The original authors of the Bible used symbols, parables, and wisdom sayings that focused on developing the holy temple, which is you. [Read more…] about Who or What is the Antichrist, Really?
The Pillars of Jachin and Boaz, Kundalini, and the Shekinah
In the last blog post we discussed why Solomon’s Temple could not be literal; instead it was meant to represent the human mind. Today we are going to focus on two structures built with the temple to help you better understand what the Bible teaches about consciousness and reality. We will also discuss a little about kundalini and DNA. But most importantly, we are going to focus on what the Bible has to say about having the proper balance, both physically and spiritually, in order to manifest Christ consciousness within you. The Esoteric Meaning of Solomon’s Temple
Today’s blog post will be the first of a two-part series dealing with Solomon’s Temple. If you have been keeping up with the posts on this site, then you already know that an esoteric reading of the Bible reveals that the majority of temples, stories, and parables are about the mind and body. Solomon’s temple is one of the greatest Old Testament symbols revealing this concept, and when interpreted as such, Solomon’s temple becomes such a blessing to the spiritual seeker. By focusing on its historical and literal implications, mainstream Christianity has missed the true spiritual blessings of this timeless symbol. The Pyramid of Giza, the Christ Within, and You!
There is an interesting scripture in Matthew chapter 21 that contains a wonderful mystery about the Great Pyramid, the Christ within, and you! The revelation of this mystery is quite empowering to the soul. Sadly, this revelation remains elusive to the religiously-minded individual who places their trust in man-made doctrine instead of listening to the still small voice within, which is where we are told that truth comes from by the author of 1Kings 19:12 and Jesus in Luke 17:21. Moses, the Bronze Serpent, and Bible Kundalini
Have you ever wondered why Moses had to “lift up” the bronze snake in the wilderness in order for the Israelites to be healed? This is perhaps one of the most puzzling scriptures in the entire Bible. Pastors and Bible study teachers alike have been stumped as to why it is there, and it seems that traditional Christianity has no proper explanation. Is there one? Yes, but the answer lies beyond the literal interpretation, and it contains a wonderful spiritual truth! [Read more…] about Moses, the Bronze Serpent, and Bible Kundalini
The Prodigal Son: An Esoteric Understanding of Ascension
Almost everyone knows the story of the Prodigal Son. Traditionally, this story has been used to illustrate the hopeless plight of man and his subsequent need for repentance and salvation. This exoteric (literal / outer) interpretation is comforting, but it pales in comparison with the scope and breadth of the esoteric (inner) interpretation. Let’s dissect the story to better understand your reason for being here, what you can look forward to, and the direction you need to take in order to arrive! And yes, all that wonderful information is packed in the simple yet brilliant parable of the Prodigal Son. [Read more…] about The Prodigal Son: An Esoteric Understanding of Ascension
Jonah, the Whale, and Higher Consciousness
For hundreds of years Sunday schools all over the country have taught children the Biblical story of Jonah and the whale. But the deeper meaning beyond the literal story takes us beyond a man who was swallowed by a big fish; in its esoteric sense, the story is about the human condition and the initiation process into Christ consciousness that we are all destined to go through. And while the literal viewpoint gives us the impression that Nineveh is being presented with an important opportunity, the real opportunity is for Jonah, and as you’ll see, Jonah experiences an initiation process and subsequent rebirth from his lower nature to his higher nature. Did God Really Create Good and Evil?
Did God really create evil? This is the question I want to address in today’s post. It is a question that has plagued mankind since the beginning of our journey, and since it’s not going away anytime soon, I think it’s an honest question that deserves quite a bit of pondering.
The Bible emphatically states that God created evil.
“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7).
But what did the Biblical author mean by “evil?” I must caution you: there’s a lot more depth and breadth to this concept and verse than first meets the pondering mind. [Read more…] about Did God Really Create Good and Evil?
The Apostle Paul, Christian Mysticism, and Meditation
The Apostle Paul has come to us through history as the fierce Pharisee turned Christian. But what does this mean, exactly? We all understand the attitude of the Pharisee which Jesus confronted: that is, the Pharisee was someone who dictated to others what they had to do to please God. But the ultimate paradox is that many Christians have embraced this mindset which Paul turned away from.
To truly understand what I mean, we must ask ourselves, what was Paul’s version of Christianity?
For myself, I am positive that Paul’s version of Christianity would resemble the essence of Christian mysticism. How can I make such a statement? Paul’s own words tell us this, and in today’s post we’re going to discuss a few verses from Romans chapter 2 that reflect this sentiment. Jesus, 40 Days in the Desert, and the Ego
Today I have a special revelation for all my blog readers. In our last article, we discussed why the author of Hebrews encourages Christians to leave the doctrines of Christ (exoteric or outer teachings) and go on to maturity realizing the inner (esoteric) teachings of Christ. We also stated that when a Christian reaches this level of maturity, it is more important to realize what Jesus represents instead of focusing on who he was. Ultimately, the author of Hebrews wanted to teach his disciples a much more advanced set of teachings that were not anchored to the literal interpretation of the Biblical text. In today’s blog post I am going to focus on what Jesus should represent by going over the story of Jesus’ 40 days and nights in the desert. Why Hebrews Instructs Us to Leave the Doctrines of Christ
Ever wonder who Jesus was really supposed to be? Today I am going to focus on a few special verses from the book of Hebrews and it is my sincerest hope that these verses will help clear up many misconceptions you may have about Jesus, the human condition, and the true intent and purpose of the Bible.
There are a lot of articles on the net talking about who Jesus was. While this is an important question to ask in the beginning of one’s New Testament journey, there comes a time where a little bit of maturity on our part should prompt a different kind of discussion about Jesus: namely, one that focuses on what Jesus represents. Enoch: The Pinnacle of Man’s Earthly Sojourn
Today I am going to discuss a very mysterious man from Genesis: Enoch. His legacy is so mysterious that the institutionalized church decided other sources concerning him should not be part of the official Biblical canon. This was a big mistake because a lot of spiritual wisdom and knowledge was lost to the masses because of that decision. We can’t blame them though—not long after the 1st century the literal interpretation of the Bible became so engrained in church leadership, they labeled anything they didn’t understand as “evil.” This is still happening today. But as we’ll soon see, the tracks leading us back to some of this ancient wisdom weren’t covered completely; clues in the official cannon are still there for us to discover today!
