What exactly is Christ consciousness? Although it may not be so easy to attain, it can and should be seen as something practical. Many websites make it seem so spiritual that it becomes no earthly good, and therefore, Christians wash their hands of it. At the very least they look into it for the sake of curiosity, but once they dig in, it seems too otherworldly to give it a second thought. [Read more…] about Christ Consciousness for the Christian
Paul, New Age Christianity, and Becoming the Christ
Apostle Paul taught New Age Christianity. Of course 2000 years ago it wasn’t called New Age, but many of the concepts are the same, especially in regards to the concept of cosmic consciousness. I know mainstream Christianity would vehemently disagree, but this is only because they have failed to understand the symbols and language of the Bible.
Personally, I think the future of mainstream Christianity is in trouble—what was once a mystery is now being shouted in books, websites, and blogs across the world: Christ is in us! [Read more…] about Paul, New Age Christianity, and Becoming the Christ
What the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Tabernacle Really Symbolize
In our last post we established that the temples of the Bible were symbolic of the human body, not literal buildings. We also discussed that Christ is raised in our bodies. This post will continue to show how the scripture unfolds this process.
If you take the Bible literally and still think the tabernacle and temples were historical buildings, read the article entitled, The Esoteric Interpretation of Solomon’s Temple, and that might help set the record straight for you.
In the end, Jesus told us it all boils down to consciousness anyways. [Read more…] about What the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Tabernacle Really Symbolize
Biblical Symbols, God, and our Bodies
Biblical symbols have always had a deep impact upon the human psyche, even when the individual isn’t consciously aware of what those symbols mean. As spiritual beings we can’t help it. We are drawn to these symbols subconsciously. The question is, “why?” What power lies therein?
I believe there is a subconscious impulse within us that desires to become conscious. This impulse is something much bigger than our egos, yet it is an intrinsic part of our divine nature. [Read more…] about Biblical Symbols, God, and our Bodies
Divination
Have you ever thought about becoming a medium or going to one? If so, you may want to think twice about it. Even though esoteric literature doesn’t always spell out the dangers involved, they are very real, and we should all acquire the knowledge to discern why.
Before delving into this controversial subject, it is important to point out that having a proper knowledge about something is crucial. [Read more…] about Divination
Meditating into the God Within
Many of you have heard of Dean Radin, a famous parapsychologist who has worked for the U.S. government, Contel, and SRI International. His research is helping us make a paradigm shift into the true nature of reality. More importantly, he is helping us realize the power within ourselves.
Mr. Radin has recently been involved with some ground-breaking research that I learned about on Naturalnews.com (article here). His latest research deserves our attention, especially in light of one of my recent articles entitled: The Message of the Bible in Two Radical Verses. [Read more…] about Meditating into the God Within
The Silver Cord
If you’ve ever had a near death experience (NDE) or tried astral projection, you may have seen the silver cord. The silver cord is often referred to as the “life thread” because it supplies energy to the physical body. If the silver cord is severed, the physical body can no longer be sustained and dies.
I had a conversation last week with a Christian about the silver cord. [Read more…] about The Silver Cord
Jesus’ Simple Parable on Raising Awareness
Have you ever pondered Jesus’ parable about the five foolish and five wise virgins? If not, I advise you to do so. It packs a powerful punch into the meaning of conscious awareness, and I firmly believe that interpreting it correctly has the power to change your life. Jacob’s Ladder
After my last post, Thank God Adam and Eve Ate the Apple, you may be wondering more about ‘how’ and ‘why’ the fall from grace happened. It wasn’t until I had studied theosophy before I really began to understand this process with any kind of clarity. The story of Adam and Eve suddenly made a whole lot more sense to me. In fact, the entire Bible did. I’ll break it all down for you in this post. [Read more…] about Jacob’s Ladder
Thank God Adam and Eve Ate the Apple!
Religion usually tricks people into thinking that up is down and down is up. There is hardly a better example of this than with the story of Adam and Eve.
“Man’s sin was to partake of the forbidden fruit,” I have heard many preachers say. “It would have been better had he listened to God instead of Satan.”
Um, no, it wouldn’t have. If Adam and Eve were literal humans (they weren’t), then their choice to obey God [Read more…] about Thank God Adam and Eve Ate the Apple!
Could Colossians 2:9 Really Suggest We Are God?
In my last post I discussed two verses that I believe sum up a core theme of the Bible: not only is god-potential latent in every human being, but we are god. In this post I am going to explore this concept further by discussing Colossians 2:9. I’ll close with a little information on the potential of the human brain and DNA, two subjects which will become more frequent in upcoming posts.
Let’s review our foundation scripture first:
“For in him [Christ] dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” [Read more…] about Could Colossians 2:9 Really Suggest We Are God?
The Message of the Bible in Two Radical Verses
I believe a fundamental—yet radical—message of the Bible can be summed up in a few short verses, and I’m going to share with it you in this post. I will probably get some hate mail because of it. I’ll probably even have a few people tell me I’m going to hell. But that’s what I expect from a message as powerful as the one you’re about to hear. Powerful messages are always misunderstood anyway. Jesus himself got crucified for it.
Without further ado, here are the verses: [Read more…] about The Message of the Bible in Two Radical Verses
Why Did Jesus Turn Water to Wine?
The Gospel of John records a pretty cool miracle: at a wedding in Cana, Jesus turned water into wine. He certainly wouldn’t have had any problem getting into a college fraternity. 🙂
All joking aside, we have to ask why this miracle? Wouldn’t that have contributed to drunken guests? Ordinary humans were allowed to do that sort of thing, but God himself? What business does he have with such a miracle?
I remember the first time I really thought about this in church. I probably raised an eyebrow. In fact, if I remember correctly, some of the other younger teenagers did too. A lively debate ensued in our Wednesday-night Bible study on whether or not this wine contained alcohol. [Read more…] about Why Did Jesus Turn Water to Wine?
