About eight months ago I wrote a post entitled, The Sistine Chapel Ceiling: The Secret in Plain Site, about Michelangelo’s esoteric message within his painting, The Creation of Adam. In that painting Michelangelo conveys the idea that God is manifested through the human brain. It appears he has hidden similar esoteric messages within multiple paintings on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Another painting which clearly portrays this same idea is called, The Separation of Light and Darkness. On this painting God is seen separating light from darkness with his outstretched hands and arms. What do you think of when you ponder immortality? Most probably think of living forever. I would agree. My WordWeb dictionary states that immortality is “Perpetual life after death.” But what does this really mean? And what about Biblical immortality? What does the Bible mean by such a concept?
Traditionally, people who read the Bible have believed in a resurrection of our earth bodies. As a kid I was taught that these new physical bodies would be “glorified.” This meant that we wouldn’t be able to get sick, experience pain and suffering, or age. But it can still be confusing. What is the Biblical story of the Exodus and liberation of the Israelites really about? A Biblical Israelite has nothing to do with flesh and blood. An Israelite is someone who has been liberated. This article will discuss what the release of Israel truly means for humanity as Moses enters Egypt and provokes Pharaoh to liberate the people.
Forget the literal interpretation of this story for a moment. Don’t think of Moses, the Israelites, and the Egyptians as individual people. See them as different aspects of one person.
