This post will begin a two-part series focusing on how the Biblical Joseph undertakes the spiritual journey of ascension to become the Old Testament version of the Christ. What Joseph experiences in the story mirrors our lives as we go through the darker nights of the soul to emerge victorious over the ego and experience the spiritual resurrection. It is important for you to realize that while Joseph is a type and shadow of the Christ, Joseph is also a type and shadow of that which resides in you! The kingdom is within you, and so is the Christ! [Read more…] about Joseph, the Coat of Many Colors, and Egypt: The Ultimate Story of Ascension

The Real Reason Jesus Shed His Blood
Today’s blog post will address a question I have been asked by several blog readers lately: what’s the esoteric significance of Jesus having to shed his blood on the cross? Some have expressed their concerns over giving up the belief that this happened literally, even if there is a good esoteric reason. I understand this fear. I have been through it myself. This blog post should help alleviate this fear, as well as provide relevant information to help you move forward with a better understanding of Christ’s purpose in the scriptures, and therefore your purpose.
In one sense, Christianity is a beautiful religion. I remember communion, Sunday school, Christmas programs, beautiful hymns and choir music, and even the wonderful Christmas plays and Sunday afternoon barbeques on the Church lawn. [Read more…] about The Real Reason Jesus Shed His Blood
The Crossing of the Red Sea and Baptism: It’s NOT about water!
You may be wondering why I am going to link baptism with the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. The answer is because both the Red Sea crossing and baptism represent one and the same thing, each of which has nothing to do with literal water.
The scripture makes this clear, and to try and say that the Bible actually supports dunking your body in water in order to bury the lower / sin nature of man is incorrect. Being dunked in water doesn’t change you. It can’t get rid of the sin nature. It simply makes you wet and is no different than swimming or taking a bath.
So did the Biblical authors have something else in mind when they spoke of baptism? Absolutely! They are speaking of something that truly has the power to renew your mind. Baptism actually represents a holy act that harbors and manifests the Christ nature within you! [Read more…] about The Crossing of the Red Sea and Baptism: It’s NOT about water!
The True Meaning of the Ark of the Covenant
Before I address the Israelites crossing the Red Sea, I decided it would be more beneficial to fast forward and write a piece on the esoteric meaning of the Ark of the Covenant. Doing so will give you more knowledge on how valuable it is to raise your consciousness.
First of all it is important to realize that Moses never constructed a golden box known as the Ark, and he didn’t converse with a separate omnipotent being above the Mercy seat. Rather these components of the Exodus narrative describe something that happens in your head on the way to your own Promised Land.
The true Ark of the Covenant rests atop your shoulders. More specifically, the Ark represents your brain. Even as Jesus was crucified at Golgotha (the place of the skull), representing part of the ascension process that takes place in your head, so too does the Ark. And in order to truly commune with God, that communion must take place within the confines of your mind. [Read more…] about The True Meaning of the Ark of the Covenant
The Path to Liberation As Evidenced Through Moses, Israel, and the Exodus
What is the Biblical story of the Exodus and liberation of the Israelites really about? A Biblical Israelite has nothing to do with flesh and blood. An Israelite is someone who has been liberated. This article will discuss what the release of Israel truly means for humanity as Moses enters Egypt and provokes Pharaoh to liberate the people.
Forget the literal interpretation of this story for a moment. Don’t think of Moses, the Israelites, and the Egyptians as individual people. See them as different aspects of one person. This is one of the keys to unlock this story. As you will see, we all must return to and exit Egypt to liberate ourselves. And by leaving Egypt we begin the process of integrating the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves in order to birth the true Israelite or Christ within. Moses and the Exodus: Part Two
Today we are going to continue with Moses and the Exodus and what it really means for you and me. In our last post we left off where God had just given Moses the name, I AM THAT I AM, to present to the Israelites. An interesting scene ensues that is imbued with more esoteric wisdom that we absolutely cannot miss! This post will further investigate cosmic energy, the symbol of the serpent, the true meaning of an Israelite, and more on meditation.
More important details on the name I AM THAT AM
It is crucial for us to understand that when the name I AM was presented to Moses, the Biblical author was making a fundamental statement about the relationship between man and the universe. As you’ll see in a moment, God gives cosmic energy to Moses. [Read more…] about Moses and the Exodus: Part Two
An Esoteric Understanding of Moses and the Exodus
The Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is one of the more prominent stories of the Bible. Many of us have heard it a hundred times from parents, Sunday school teachers, and pastoral sermons. For me it is one of the greatest stories ever told, not because it literally happened, but because of the spiritual truth it conveys about being a sojourner on earth.
To teach that this story literally happened has been one of the greatest blunders of religion. The Book of Exodus is replete with so much revelation of the divine, but a literal view detracts from the true spiritual message. Contained in the Exodus is the complete story of redemption for all of humanity. It is the story of how to achieve the resurrected Christ within each of us. Even St. Paul attested to this when he stated that “…all our fathers…drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ” (1 Cor. 10:1-4). Why The Bible Should Not Be Taken Literally: It’s All About The Ego!
I recently had a conversation with a Christian I have respected for many years. Too make a long story short, we had a healthy disagreement about whether the Bible should be seen as literal history or not. He thought it should. All of it! Even talking snakes, a flood covering the highest mountains, and millions of Israelites wandering in the desert to get to the Promised Land. But he also agreed that the Bible’s greatest treasure was the spiritual interpretation usually hidden beneath the literal story. He finally asked me why I couldn’t see it both ways like he did. Samson and Delilah: The War of the Mind
Everyone is familiar with the story of Samson, the strongest man who ever lived. The Bible states he single-handedly killed a thousand men with a jawbone. There’s no doubt about it—he was invincible as the spirit of the Lord was upon him! But I want you to understand that this man’s life doesn’t belong to a literal character in Jewish history. It belongs to you. You are to be Samson. [Read more…] about Samson and Delilah: The War of the Mind
When Will You Have Bread and Wine With Melchizedek?
It can be said that there are two types of people in this world:
1) The first type of person believes that life happens to them. And so it does. By default, those who wander about aimlessly will truly experience a sort of pointless and aimless existence in the chaos of the ego. They truly may believe they are operating out of free will, but most of their life is reacting to situations that they themselves manifest from an unfocused mind.
2) The second type of person believes that they make their own life. And so they do. Those who are focused, entertain positive thoughts, and live in harmony with their conscious and subconscious self create abundant experiences.
Where am I going with all this? Enter Melchizedek, the main topic for today. [Read more…] about When Will You Have Bread and Wine With Melchizedek?
The Yoke of Christ: Realizing the “Light” and “Easy” Burden
Consciousness. Science can’t understand it. Religion places it in a box with a bearded old man in the sky. But there is the rare soul that learns to dive into it, to awaken to it. Since we are all different experiential expressions of the one and only consciousness (i.e., God), it behooves us to explore and experience the raw consciousness that we are. Today’s post will look at a famous saying from Jesus that I believe is an invitation to do just that. [Read more…] about The Yoke of Christ: Realizing the “Light” and “Easy” Burden
The Conclusion of Jesus, The Sun, and the Zodiac
This blog post will finally wrap up our conclusion of Jesus, the sun, and the Zodiac. Please read my former three blog post if you haven’t already as they will properly prepare you for this one.
We have already discussed how Jesus’ ministry is a personification of the sun’s travels through 6 of the zodiacal signs. Today we are going to finish with the other 6. Hopefully the story of Jesus will make much more sense when you are through with this last and final post of the series. [Read more…] about The Conclusion of Jesus, The Sun, and the Zodiac
Jesus, the Zodiac, and Higher Consciousness
In my last blog article I shared how Jesus is a personification of the sun. In this blog post I will show how Jesus’ life relates to the sun as it travels through the zodiac. As I have said before, my conclusion is not that the story of Christ is just another sun god myth. The story of Christ in the heavens provides us with the knowledge we need in order to understand our paths to higher consciousness. In other words, the story of Christ is meant to be our story, and if you read this blog post with an open mind I think you’ll most likely agree.
