Today’s topic, the serpent and the messiah, has been addressed on this blog before by Anny, but today I am going to look at it from a few additional angles. I recently had a great discussion about it with a friend. This friend doesn’t agree with esoteric teaching because she is a mainstream Christian, but we greatly respect each other’s views and enjoy a healthy debate from time to time. Transforming the Serpent Ego
In the last article, part one of this series, we discussed the opening of Genesis chapter 3. We set the stage for how the Bible explains man’s development on the physical plane. We must remember that it is not a literal account, but a spiritual one.
If you remember from the last post, eyes are a symbol for mental perception. When Eve ate the fruit and then gave it to Adam to eat, it is symbolic of the conscious being born and developed fully functioning on the physical plane. Adam and Eve’s eyes being opened mean that mental perception (consciousness) in man came into being. [Read more…] about Transforming the Serpent Ego
Valentinus, the Bridal Chamber, and Meditation: Part 5 of the Development of the Orthodox Church
To finish our study and truly begin to understand how the Orthodox Church developed, we need to take a close look at Valentinus, who will play a large part of in verbal war of doctrine with Irenaeus and Orthodoxy. I will discuss the life and beliefs of Valentinus first, followed by Irenaeus, and then the exchange between the two as documented by later church fathers such as Tertullian. “Who do you say that I am?” Part 11
Jesus said: “To him who overcomes (the ego-world), I will give a New Nature.”–Rev 2:17
“Revelation”, as we know, dramatically covers the seven seals — chakraic awakening leading to Ascension into Christ consciousness.
So what is this New Nature and what are the white stones mentioned in “Revelation?” [Read more…] about “Who do you say that I am?” Part 11

Is this The most profound Question in the Bible?
By examining this question, the answers will reveal how we can identify who we really are and how we can embrace it wholeheartedly.
For now, let us relax and explore together this most wonderful of questions: “Who do you say that I am?” [Read more…] about “Who Do You Say That I am?” — Matthew 16: 13-17 –Part I
The Tree of Judgement?
One of the themes in the Bible that has always fascinated mankind is that of the Garden of Eden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, with the serpent lying on one of its branches.
During the period of October 2013 – January 2014, I wrote a series of articles for SOS, mostly about the esoteric interpretation of Bible texts, based on Hebrew numerology. In at least five of these articles this theme of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the serpent was examined, each following article building on the findings of the previous ones. Jacob, Leah, Higher Consciousness, DMT, and the Pineal Gland
A few years back I wrote a post about Jacob meeting God at Peniel. Jacob called the place of meeting Peniel because the Hebrew term means “face of God.” In that post we also discussed that Peniel, although a different spelling, can be associated with the pineal gland in the center of the brain. Jacob met God face to face at Peniel because the text is alluding to the mystical experience of activating the pineal gland through kundalini. The pineal gland is sensitive to this subtle yet powerful energy that science cannot yet measure. [Read more…] about Jacob, Leah, Higher Consciousness, DMT, and the Pineal Gland
Ten Similarities between God and Consciousness
What if we could strip away the dogma and literal interpretation of the Bible to reveal an underlying, profound mystery about the concept of God and consciousness? How many would be so daring to believe they could be one in the same?
I have found that what we consider as the attributes of God are also the attributes of our own individual and collective consciousness, and the Bible shouts it!
If you’ve been raised in traditional Judeo-Christian teachings, it can seem a bit terrifying at first, but once digested, it brings great awe, humility, and inspiration for the human condition, and finally, great contentment that your life has more meaning than you could have ever imagined. The Fear of the Lord
What does it mean when the Bible admonishes us to fear the Lord? The Bible is filled with scriptures telling us to do this, so it behooves us to get to the bottom of its true meaning.
The Christian Church, even in all its diversifying beliefs and denominations, has progressed past the mentality of the Dark Ages, where fear was a powerful tool into subjugating the masses into following its rules so that one could attain salvation upon death. Now, it is commonly accepted that the Hebrew word for fear in so many scriptures carries the connotation of “reverence” and “respect” rather than the negative emotion that paralyzes the intellect and reforms the people into sheeple. While this progression is positive, it isn’t good enough. There is much more to understand as we move towards the grand finale of salvation, which sadly, is also grossly misunderstood by the majority of Christian thought. Ciphers and Cryptography: A Very Brief Foundation
The use of ciphers and subtle allusions in mysticism, philosophy, literature and religion, though generally ignored or unknown in modernity (by and large), are indeed well-established practices (such as the three literary practices in Qabalah, all of which involve some form of cryptography: transpositioning; substitution; skip-codes; re-arrangements of text into columns, as with the 72 Names of God; interpretation as number; etc).
“Ciphers are hidden in the most subtle manner: they may be concealed in the watermark of the paper upon which a book is printed…bound into the covers of ancient books…hidden under imperfect pagination; they may be extracted from the first letters of words or the first words of sentences; they may be artfully concealed in mathematical equations or in apparently unintelligible characters…they may be word ciphers, letter ciphers…they may be discovered in the elaborately illuminated initial letters of early books or they may be revealed by a process of counting words or letters.” – Manly Palmer Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, p. 491. The Truth Will Set You Free
Why are Christians getting so sick?
During my life I have been around many people whom I would classify hardcore Christians. I began to notice something in common with all of them – namely, that the more intense their Christian convictions, the more they suffered from disease, illness and psychological problems. I didn’t really put the connection together – until now. I don’t profess to know everything or be completely right about everything. This is simply what I’ve found through my research.
The Bible will impart truth but only if interpreted correctly – esoterically, celestially and personally. It is almost all symbolism, metaphor, myth and allegory. I say celestially due to the Hermetic axiom of “As Above, So Below” That’s why the Bible states there will be lights in the heavens and THOSE LIGHTS WILL BE FOR SIGNS, but that is a discussion for another time. Be Ye Perfect
“Be ye perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” — Matthew 5.48
This instructional scripture is referring to cleansing of generational and self-inflicted programming known as subconsciousness. The scripture is making the point : Be transformed within consciousness, through exposure to Pure Consciousness. It’s important to understand that we’re (finite mind) not perfecting anything, rather we’re surrendering lower-self ego, to that which is already perfect — Spirit : the Spirit perfects /heals when all mental struggle has ceased — it’s the inner struggle which is the problem, not the so-called problem. If the fish ceased struggling more then likely it would free itself from the hook.
With this and the following scriptures in mind, let us explore subconsciousness, its origins and a method of its elimination. [Read more…] about Be Ye Perfect
Is There Only One Holy Book?
When I was a newly saved Christian attending an evangelistic church, I was taught in Sunday school that there was only one holy book – the Bible. If I had to burn all the books in the church library except one, I would be expected to choose the Bible. I have gone through several spiritual transformations since then, so that expectation seems somewhat limiting to me now. But back then, I had recently gone through a paradigm shift from agnostic to believer. Something had been awakened. [Read more…] about Is There Only One Holy Book?
