“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1
This sentence, in it’s original Hebrew, has a standard gematria value of 2,701: It is the 73rd triangular and the 37th hexagonal number. It only has two factors, 37 and 73 (the two values of Wisdom seen in Part I). It is 7 words long and consists of 28 letters. 28 is the 7th triangle and the 3rd hexagon (a miniature of the gematria figurates). The first word is 6 letters. 6 is the first perfect number (1+2+3=6), while 28 is the second perfect number (1+2+4+7+14=28). The fact that both of these are ‘explicitly’ given is somewhat curious, considering that they are the only two perfect numbers below 100. These loosely connect Genesis 1:1 with the Cube, possessing 28 possible paths between its 8 vertices, and 6 faces. The 28 paths of the Cube is ‘aligned’ with Judaism in that each of these letters are a ‘possible path’ to mystical insight through Qabalistic practices such as Notarikon. Just one highly Christian example of Notarikon (taken from Samuel L. MacGregor Mathers’ The Kabbalah Unveiled), discovered by Prosper Rugers – a 17th century Jewish convert, reads as follows:
B = Ben = Son
R = Ruach = Spirit
A = Ab = Father
S = Sheloshethem = Trinity
Y = Yechad = Unity
T = Themim = Perfect
According to this, the six-letter “Bereisheet” (Brasyt), “In the beginning,” yields “The Son, The Spirit, The Father, Their Trinity in Perfect Unity.”
Genesis 1:1, perhaps one of the most well-known sentences in human history, shares it’s numerical value with the Greek Apostoulos Christou, Apostle of Christ, and loosely related phrases such as The Work of Faith, Eternal Perfection, and likely many others. A number of New Testament verses contain the phrase Apostle of Christ. Take for example 2 Timothy 1:1: “Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God…”
The beit prefix on the first word denotes “In,” but may also suggest “With” or “At.” We shall read it as “With beginning.” The letter beit has been associated with the second Sephirah, Chokmah, simply because it’s the second emanation (in traditional Jewish theosophy the letters are assigned to the paths between the Sephiroth; Beit is ascribed to the path between Kether and Binah, though the attribution given here is also seen in more modern works). Therefore the first word yields “With Wisdom [the] Beginning.” This word, elegantly, may also be read as “Bera sheet” – meaning “Created Six.” In the beginning Created Six. It is indeed intriguing that before the 6-Day Creation we see a 6-letter word that could mean ‘created 6.’
(Many have remarked that there are more fitting words – such as Berachoth – that could have been used in place of Berasheet, but that this must have been employed because of it’s allusion to the Six Days.)
Add to this sentence the symbolic association of beit with House and Mother, and one six-letter word (read twice) offers a series of remarkably elegant and interwoven concepts:
“With wisdom the beginning created six.”
“In the House of Wisdom the Mother of beginning created six.”
Or, interpreting it according to the traditional assigning of beit: “In the Crown of Understanding the beginning created six.”
According to Qabalah, “created six” is a reference to the Six Attributes of Macroprosopus (from Greek: Makros + prosopon = “long” “face,” The Great Face of Deity), but they could also symbolize the Cube, the Hexagon, or the birth of the Six Cardinal Directions inherent in three-dimensionality. It may even be an allusion to the forming of the Seed of Life – omitting the central circle (this Sacred Figure is seen in ancient art and architecture the world over, and is even among the sketches of Leonardo Da Vinci). The seventh circle is associated with God, Ever-Present beneath the Impenetrable Veil.
(It is worth noting that according to Jewish Tradition “Creation began with Beit.” This is likely because: 1) Aleph is One, the First; God; this would make Beit Two, the Second; Creation; 2) The Torah begins with Beit; 3) Beit represents Mother and House, while Aleph is Father [Yahweh] – Builder of the House. The Creator is Male while Creation is Female, and she is the House or Womb of Life. [Shekhinah is essentially The Divine Feminine in Judaism; she is everywhere including within Man, but she is unrecognized within us; not unlike the Tantric ‘Queen of the Diamond Realm,’ ‘Heart of the Yogin’s Yoga.’ She is associated with the letter hé, and is said to have united with Abram when he became Abraham.]
While on the subject, it is also worth pointing out the origins of three common English words. The word “Matrix,” “an environment or material in which something develops” – as Google puts it, is often used to describe reality [especially in light of Quantum Mechanics and, of course, The Matrix]. Similarly, the word “Matter” describes the tangible substance: ‘this’ or ‘that.’ In relation to this, an old Hindu proverb describes God negatively: “Not this, not that.” Both of the above words – Matter-Matrix – come from the Latin “Mater,” root of English “Mother.” It became “materia,” substance, and “matrix,” breeding female. From this and the Hindu proverb we see that The Great Mother is “this, that,” “substance,” the “breeding female,” while God The Father is “Not this, not that,” but rather “Infinite No-Thingness” – Ain Soph, in Jewish Theosophy.)
The second word of Genesis 1:1 is Bera, or Bra, ‘created,’ followed by Elohim, then an untranslatable word-particle. This particle is simply At – Aleph-Tav, the first and last letters. Therefore so far our sentence reads, “In the Crown of Understanding the beginning created six, created Elohim beginning to end.” The values of Bereisheet+Elohim, or “In the beginning+God” = 913+86=999. Compare the Aleph-Tav to Christ’s statement: “I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.” What follows is the heavens and the earth in Tetragrammaton’s 28-letter Cube of Sevenfold Perfection. We obtain a full sentence that reads: “In the Crown of Understanding the beginning created six, created Elohim beginning to end, the heavens and the earth.”
(The Six-fold Circle of Circles, as well as the Aleph-Tav, are comparable to Ouroboros – the snake biting its tail [the sixth touches the first, signifying “the end is in the beginning” – like the serpent], but perceiving the ring as the snake and the center as Deity we find correspondence with an ancient Greek Myth: Eurynome, Feminine Creator existing in the void, became trapped in the coils of Ophion – the Primeval Serpent. Here we have the ring with the immaterial center [in the case of the Seed of Life, the realm of Sabbath – God’s Place]. Eurynome transmutes into a dove, and in freeing herself from Ophion’s grip lays the Egg of Creation; the coil of the serpent cracks the egg, initiating something comparable to The Big Bang. This is also similar to Christ, the Dove Resurrected from the Serpent’s Grip [Christ being the Restored Adam], redeeming Creation. The Dove is also synonymous with the serpent in the sense that Christ is “the beginning and the end,” the first and the sixth.
The Seven-Day Creation not only corresponds to the Seven Classical Planets, the Diatonic Scale, the Colour Spectrum and the Golden Section [these last three covering Sound, Sight and Growth], but in also pointing to the Seed of Life it connects us to a long history of perceiving God as “The Ever-Present Center of the Infinite Circle” – particularly prominent in the art and mysticism of Sufism. Curiously, when the progressive angles of the Seed of Life are interpreted as Frequencies [i.e. 180°=180Hz], the gradual unfolding yields an impeccable F Major scale in three-part harmony! [For those who would like to see/hear this first-hand, search the documentary Sonic Geometry on either Google or YouTube.] )
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” – Genesis 1:2
Alpha, Christ, and the Demiurgus of Light
“I am the light of the world.” – John 8:12
This has been interpreted in many ways, perhaps the most literally valid being the perspective of solar allegory. 137, being the value of Qabalah (from Heb. ‘qibel,’ ‘received’) and the 33rd prime, is also commonly referred to as Alpha-Inverse or simply Alpha, The Fine-Structure Constant, in scientific circles. The true value of Alpha (not it’s inverse) is 7.29735257×10^-3 (as of 2012). So what is the scientific significance of Alpha? It is a dimensionless quantity, meaning that it will always be the same regardless of what base one performs the calculations in. WikiPedia describes it as:
“…the coupling constant characterizing the strength of the electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles.”
As Prof. Laurence Eaves puts it:
“The number is required to know how specific wavelengths of light interact in precise ways with atoms and how electromagnetic forces hold atoms together. Hence we know that this number is one of the core factors that determine the size of the atoms and, therefore, the form and structure of the universe.”
“It [137 or 7.2973] would be one of the numbers you would signal to these aliens indicating that you have a scientific and technologically capable civilization on this planet.”
“…if the value were a little bit different from the value it actually has, we wouldn’t be around here talking about it…Atomic physics…is the way it is because of Alpha..”
The former statement is certainly far from insignificant. Many notable physicists have commented on this mathematical/physical anomaly. Richard Feynman said:
“It has been a mystery ever since it was discovered more than fifty years ago, and all good theoretical physicists put this number up on their wall and worry about it. Immediately you would like to know where this number for a coupling comes from: is it related to pi or perhaps to the base of natural logarithms? Nobody knows.” (QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter, p. 129)
A number have stated that Alpha is as much a philosophical as it is a scientific problem: without it, the task of ‘differentiating matter from ether’ and ‘unraveling the laws of nature’ would be ‘hopelessly difficult’ (Max Born). Without Alpha there would be no light, no emergence of structure from the void – all would simply be in a chaotic flux of pseudo-existence (according to our present understanding). Now would be a good time to recall that Chlorophyll – the molecule responsible for converting light to life – has 137 atoms! Clearly 137 is connected to light and its relation to energy. Bearing in mind these crucial facts, we shall now examine the following verses a tad more closely than usual. In Genesis 1:1-2 we read:
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
As was already pointed out, verse one has a standard value of 2,701 (37×73). What was not mentioned, however, is that the value of verse two is 3,546. The first five digits of Alpha – fundamental constant discovered in 1916 – are 72973: 27013546^2=729731667494116! Accurate to five digits, the verses describing the change from Void to Form reveal the scientific constant required to facilitate it! – And from this number proceed the following verses:
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
“And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” – Genesis 1:3-4
Recall the statement made by Manly Hall in Part I, that ciphers may be uncovered by “counting words or letters.” The word light in Hebrew is Aur (207). The emboldened occurrence of this word in verse 4 is the 37th word in all of Scripture, and the 3rd letter is the 137th (a Vau).Considering the significance of these numbers – coupled with the same of these verses, and more importantly the sheer relevance and functionality of this religious-scientific connection, the odds of this happening are surely astronomical. It is interesting that the 37th word should be light, when Christ, who performed 37 miracles, is the light of the world in the verse that began this section.
(For the benefit of the more skeptically inclined, I have re-iterated the verses in question in their original Hebrew; using the gematria chart in Part I you may calculate the values and count the letters/words yourself. The original verses will be found at the end of this segment. Those who wish to verify the verse below will need to search for a Greek chart via Google.)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
This sentence, designed as a Christianized replica of Gen 1:1 (alluding to it thereby), has a standard Greek gematria value of 3,627. 27013627^2=729736043695129! Here we see an even closer approximation of Alpha. Three of the most important of all biblical verses conceal the constant that upholds the universe; a constant that wouldn’t be discovered for another 2,600 years. Eaves did say “It would be one of the numbers you would signal.” Would we be ‘ignoring a sign’ if we considered these to be mere chance occurrences?
(While on the subject of mathematical knowledge embedded in Semitic Tradition, consider that according to the Jewish people The Seven-Day Creation was effected with the Twenty-Two Hebrew Letters. The two numbers are therefore inextricably linked in this way. For many years, 22/7 was used as the standard approximation of pi, yielding 3.1428, accurate to the third digit. According to current thought, a value this accurate was not known in that era. Also, the value of Shaddai שדי– a name for God – has a value of 314, as does the name of the Archangel Metatron [Enoch] מטטרון. Aside from Pi, Phi and Alpha existing throughout Scripture(!), the 3-4-5 Triangle is seen in the division of the Hebrew letters: 3 Mothers, 7 Doubles, 12 Simples: 3, 3+4=7, 3+4+5=12.)
As pointed out already by Prof. Eaves, Alpha is required to understand how “electromagnetic forces hold atoms together.” It is 100% identical to the role of Demiurge, holding the atoms of the Universe together and maintaining Creation.
(To be clear, a Demiurgus is a ‘semi-Creator’: He/She is the ‘Creator’, ‘Refiner’ and ‘Sustainer’ of this Universe, but is not inherently One with The Creator of All That Is, Was and Ever Shall There Be. Alpha could fittingly be seen as a mathematical Demiurge.)
This concludes Part 2. Our next segment will explore The Seven-Day Creation in relation to Saturn and the Cube, as well as other inter-related topics.

Joshua Tilghman says
Jakob,
I don’t think that anyone could walk away from this information thinking that the literal interpretation of the Bible is the most important. The facts you have presented here continue to be mind-boggling. The ancient wisdom and knowledge that went (planned) into the writing of the Bible shows us that modern science has only recently caught up to the secrets of creation that wisdom teachers clearly understood thousands of years ago. I am positive that our modern scientist are only just beginning to scratch the surface.
I found it very interesting that many of the New Testament verses you mention reiterate the groundwork that Genesis had already laid out. It tells us an important detail that fill in the gaps between the two testaments. The messiah represents and is a symbol of something far more scientific and foundational to creation than a mere narrative about one individual. The messiah concept is about our salvation through evolution, not a salvation limited to a certain belief system. Your post helps us connect the idea of conscious experience to this evolutionary process.
Much of the information in this post reminds of the fact that Judah, the line of Christ, is the always facing east in the camp. This is the direction of the rising sun / son, therefore we can call Judah the tribe of light.
Thank you for bringing us the importance in the numerical value of 137 and explaining it’s importance to scripture. I have to admit that I am going to have to study this post carefully to fully integrate it’s importance to consciousness itself.
Jakob Thelen says
Josh,
Thank you very much! Though the literal may have its merits, I am in complete agreement. The more that science probes the secrets of nature, the more we seem compelled to re-examine those most ancient Books of Wisdom.
Absolutely, though Christ may be an individual, there is so much more to it than that. Enlightenment, or Christ-Consciousness, cannot be achieved by simply subscribing to a series of beliefs – regardless of what they are; it is a process, as demonstrated by all major systems East and West.
That’s a very interesting observation, making Christ the King of the People of Light.
It was my pleasure, though it is a lot to process it is very enlightening and worth assimilating in my opinion.
Sincerely,
Jakob

Jakob,
Very interesting about chlorophyll having 137 atoms. Scientists have been trying to make an artificial leaf that performs photosynthesis but have not succeeded in making one that works under natural conditions. Chlorophyll is very special.
Jakob Thelen says
Robert,
That’s quite interesting, I could have deduced that scientists have endeavoured to do such a thing, but I didn’t know that they have actually tried unsuccessfully. I agree, Chlorophyll is definitely one of the countless miracles that stare back at us each day. Thank you for sharing that.
Robert says
Jakob,
I think it slipped past me the first two times I read part II, that the value of alpha (the Fine Structure Constant of physics, 7.2973 x 1o^-3) is the reciprocal (or multiplicative inverse) of 137, meaning if you divide alpha into 1 (or divide 1 by alpha) you get 137.
The Wikipedia article on “Fine-structure Constant”, section on “Measurement” makes this clear.
So this reciprocal relationship makes the connection between 137 and 72973 very amazing, especially that the first number can be calculated by Hebrew gematria of Genesis 1:1 (“In the beginning ….”) and the second number can be calculated by Greek gematria of John 1:1 (“In the beginning…”).
This is phenomenal beyond most anything I have come across so far in gematria. It connects the OT and NT is a way that seems very mystical, almost spooky.
What does this mean? Did the author of John know all about Hebrew and Greek gematria and knowingly adjust the wording in John 1:1 so it came out this way. I have a harder time buying that than believing it is a concealed sign manifested from the spirit of light.
This is like in the movie “Contact” when the skeptical government official suddenly realizes that the video recording of the 10 second experimental attempt to contact an advanced planetary civilization is not blank, but contains 45 minutes of static.
Using truncation instead of rounding, alpha can also be represented by 72973 x 1o^-7.
Jakob Thelen says
Robert,
That’s perfectly understandable – I know that I’ve lain a lot before the SOS readers. Yes, I could have given more attention to how Alpha and its inverse are obtained, but I felt that such would be too great of a digression.
I’m happy to learn that, and I completely agree – it is a tad “spooky.” Precisely! – Regardless of the scenario one conceives, it seems totally implausible (or impossible) that these numbers (>98% accurate) could be found in such a relevant section of Scripture. It’s almost as though they couldn’t have been put there, but shouldn’t be there either. You will see other such anomalies, anomalies that defy established statistical logic. What is its source? That’s up to you.
Great analogy, that moment was monumental. That’s interesting, I was unaware of that. Thanks for commenting.
Sincerely,
Jakob

Great post! It proves that Yahweh/Yahshua are one on the same coin. “Me and the Father(Yahweh) are one.”John 10:30. It take letters to form words, and they make pictures. The Alpha(First Greek Letter) and Omega(Last Greek Letter) are the Elohim of Genesis! Yahshua(Yahweh is Salvation/Elohim with us) said, “He who see me(The Word) sees the Father(Yahweh).” We must realize that Yahshua is more then meets the eye. As the chlorophyll is the door unto life, the Christ Consciousness is the chlorophyll unto the kingdom within. This is our dwelling place(Ps 90:1), our refuge(Ps 33:16), the light unto our feet, and light unto our path(Ps 119:105), Our shepherd(Ps 23;John 10:9), our Salvation(Ps 27). Overall the Christ Mind is our everything we need. This post is truly praising and worshiping Yahweh Elohim in Spirit and Truth. It’s about rising from the dead unto life ie the light of men(John 1:4).Since the sun is the ruler of the day, and day unto day utters speech… Shouldn’t we acknowledge the Christ Mind(Him) in all our ways so our paths will be directed?…Selah… I believe we should crucify our Ego, and trade it for Christ Mind(Spiritual Mind). Our ashes for His(Christ consciousness/Higher self) beauty. The Word(Emmanuel: Elohim with us) becomes flesh from the kingdom within, and dwells with us. Let His light shine upon our face! May the Christ be formed in us! Amen :-)!

David,
Thank you very much! Yes, there are many intricate connections between the two that are revealed in a most subtle manner. I will dissect a few names in the next segment, I’m sure you will be very intrigued. I absolutely agree, within The First and The Last we literally find answers to all in between!
Thank you! – I appreciate that very deeply. Your words are very eloquent and uplifting, they remind me of a certain phrase – surely you know it: The letter killeth, but the spirit maketh alive.
Your words remind me of another proverb, one from Silesius:
“Though Christ a thousand times in Bethlehem be born, And not within thyself, thy soul will be forlorn. The Cross on Golgotha thou lookest to in vain, Unless within thyself it be set up again.”
You unknowingly utter the words of saints. Spirit shines through letter, my friend, and He shines upon you now!
Many blessings,
Jakob

Josh, great choice of the word chlorophyll. That’s part of the plant that converts light into energy. I guess that’s happens when we’re the kingdom within. The light we receive from Christ Mind(The Sun) is our energy or spiritual energy. That means we’re prepared to give our spiritual fruits unto the world as the crop. The Christ Mind is our vine connecting to the Spirit. I AM(Christ Mind) the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father(Yahweh) but by me(Christ Mind). The Sun/Son is the Chlorophyll unto salvation. He who has the Son/Sun has life. The Sun/Son is the life giver. His life is our spiritual energy ie The Bread. Christ Mind is my the Light of my world. There’s no darkness in Him(Christ Mind). Amen!

Although the principle of man’s solar/divine identity have always been a mystical and theosophic spectacle it’s always fascinating to see how modern science continues to discover the transforming functional qualities made by the sun which can be related in new terms and analysis to spirituality and Christ consciousness, such as photosythesis and chlorophyll, corroborating old school Hermeticism in a new light. This brings me to a relevant illustration (The Solar Heart) in the book Robert Fludd: Hermetic Philosopher and Surveyor of Two Worlds, by Joscelyn Godwin. David Fideler borrows the illustration in his own book: Jesus Christ Sun Of God P.246-247 and gives the precise detail on how Robert Fludd identified the solar disc with the human heart, the center of the soul; which can become our “arbitrator between the fires of analytical intellect and the waters of biological instinct.” And it’s interesting to note that in his lists of Gematria figures Fideler shows us not only 388= The Sun but that 888 = JESUS = OLEN corresponds with both the primary ratios of geometry and musical harmony.
Jakob Thelen says
Vernon,
I completely concur, and I believe it makes for a very enriched religious perspective. The sun is indeed incredibly transformative, both spiritually and physically. Unfortunately I have not read either of those books, though the latter seems particularly alluring given the correspondences between the Son and the Sun (this is explored in great detail in Part V). That’s a very beautifully constructed phrase, suggesting that the Heart / Sun or Christ is the means by which we may reconcile the Male (fire) and Female (water), the ultimate goal of The Fallen One on the path to Unity. The gematria 388, is that Greek? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Jakob

Jakob,
I’m glad you found that illustration worthy of the praise while extending its meaning. Admittedly, as a dabbler I’m not deep into gematria enough to recognize all of the numerical languages but I’m quite certain 388 is Greek, since the Grecian are the primary corridors Fideler is walking us through. In his own words OLEN was the founder of Apollo’s oracle at Delphi & string ratio of Pythagorean whole tone, p.98. Interestingly, 888, being the sum total of the letters of Jesus in Greek, is also mathematically related to the so-called “magic square of the Sun,” p.29. I’m eagerly awaiting the rest of your articles. I’m convinced that all enlightening knowledge is relevant to the evolution of the soul. Keep up the good work. – Vern

Hi Jakob,
The outstanding part of your writing for myself in combination with part 1 is the number 137.
I am seeing/sensing a direction to DNA sequencing A C G with this number, concerning the knowledge of the gene and its function in evolution. The other is T (20)=13?
Can this as well be an ancestral link to one Father or Trinity, which is present in all living creatures.
There is that fine line again between science and religion, which I can imagine the helix structure, paths crossing in the figure 8 spiral.
Realizing there is an ongoing, never-ending debate, it still is a quite fascinating correlation which simply cannot be dismissed as coincidence.
As the leaves turn!
Happy Fall,

Hi Sparks,
That’s an intriguing thought – one that had not occurred to me. The notion of the “Genetic Trinity” is particularly interesting, Three in Nature is very recurrent. As the Tao Te Ching says, “Three begets the myriad creatures.” That line often seems so incredibly fine it is astounding, the deeper one digs the more surprises one finds. In my studies I have come to realize that virtually all religions are equally and shockingly relevant to modern scientific thought (perhaps most especially the esoteric Jewish and Vedic writings). Happy Fall to you too!
